Andrew has been working with animals since he was a boy and his passion for horses started at the age of 12 when he'd spend all his free time helping his friend at their family's hunt yard in return for riding and stable management lessons.

After leaving school, Andrew trained at Askham Bryan Agricultural College and completed his Instructor Training.

In 2005 Andrew met Monty Roberts - a meeting that was to change not only the way he works and trains horses, but his whole life. A year later Andrew started training with Richard Maxwell and now incorporates the "natural" methods of training into all he does with horses.

Andrew lives with his wife in Kneesall, Nr Tuxford, Notts where he runs a yard specialising in the re-schooling of former racehorses and helping "problem" horses. A modern, forward-thinking instructor Andrew tailors his teaching to fit every different rider and situation. He teaches freelance, with clients from beginners to affiliated BD, BE and BSJA competitors as well as being an accredited PC coach and backing / starting youngstock.

Now offering superb livery facilities with indoor & outdoor arenas with plans underway for horse walker and solarium.

Andrew can be contacted on 07746168813.  (Please be patient - he may just be in the middle of a lesson)

Riding Lessons, Starting youngsters, backing, training, re-training, schooling, problem horses, loading, barging, etc etc.....

Laying the foundations - the most important part of a horses future education.

Andrews calm, no nonsense approach to training does wonders for the "pupils" confidence

This young horse has had less than one hour total tuition - seen here being introduced to the "scary" stick and plastic bags. After just minutes, instead of trying to flee he was actually chasing it. and allowing it to touch every part of his body  - Wonderful.
